PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Education Law on June 14, 2005;

Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister approving the planning of higher education institutions for the period 2001-2010;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training at the report No. 18/TTr-GDĐT dated January 2, 2007 regarding the establishment of Phu Yen University.

DECISION:

Article 1. Establish Phu Yen University based on Phu Yen College of Education and Phu Yen Secondary Technical-Economic School.

Article 2. Phu Yen University is a university institution directly under the People's Committee of Phu Yen Province and subject to the state management of education by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Phu Yen University is a public service entity; it has legal personality; it has its own seal and separate account in accordance with the law; its headquarters is located in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province.

The English name for Phu Yen University is Phuyen University.

Article 3. Phu Yen University operates according to the Charter of Universities issued together with Decision No. 153/2003/QĐ-TTg dated July 30, 2003 of the Prime Minister.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect from the date of issuance.

Article 5. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under the direct jurisdiction of the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
