Regarding the establishment of the Information Technology Application Department

under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/ND-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

On the basis of Decree No. 90/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 11, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications;

At the proposal of the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications and the Minister of Interior,

Article 1The Information Technology Application Department under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications shall be established to assist the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications in performing state management functions and organizing the implementation of information technology application activities nationwide.

12/2025/TT-BNNMT dated June 19, 2025 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and EnvironmentThe Information Technology Application Department has legal personality, possesses a seal, receives funding from the state budget, is allowed to open accounts at the State Treasury, has its main office located in Hanoi and representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications shall specify the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Information Technology Application Department.

Article 3. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, and Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
