THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Based on the Fisheries Law dated November 26, 2003;

Pursuant to the Food Safety Ordinance dated July 26, 2003, and Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Food Safety Ordinance;

Pursuant to Decree No. 59/2005/NĐ-CP dated May 4, 2005 of the Government on Conditions for Operating Certain Aquatic Industries;

Pursuant to Decree No. 79/2008/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2008 of the Government stipulating the management system‎, inspection, and testing for food safety;

Pursuant to Circular Joint No. 24/2005/TTLT-BYT-BTS dated December 8, 2005 of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Fisheries (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) guiding the division of labor and coordination in state management of aquatic product food safety;

At the proposal of the Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance for Agricultural Products and Aquatic Products.

DECISION:

Article 1. This Decision promulgates the "Regulation on Inspection and Recognition of Aquatic Product Production and Business Establishments Meeting Food Safety Requirements"", replacing the "Regulation on Inspection and Recognition of Aquatic Product Production and Business Establishments Meeting Food Safety Standards" issued together with Decision No. 649/2000/QĐ-BTS dated August 4, 2000 of the Minister of Fisheries;This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette;

Article 2. The Heads of the Office of the Ministry, the Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance for Agricultural Products and Aquatic Products, the heads of ministries' agencies, and the Directors of Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and centrally-administered cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.

Article 3. The Head of the Ministry’s Office, the Director of the Quality Management Department for Agriculture, Forestry Products and Aquatic Products, the heads of the ministries’ agencies, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development under central cities and provinces shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
