DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding the restructuring of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 16/CP dated January 27, 1995 of the Government on the establishment of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City;
Pursuant to the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Training in Circular No. 8880/TCCB dated September 22, 2000, and Circular No. 9175/TCCB dated October 4, 2000 regarding the plan to reorganize the two national universities;
DECISION:
Article 1. The restructuring of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City shall be as follows:
Separating the following universities from the National University of Ho Chi Minh City: University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Economics, Law University, University of Architecture, and University of Technology Education;
Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry,
Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics,
Ho Chi Minh City University of Law,
Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture,
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology Education.
The aforementioned universities shall directly belong to the Ministry of Education and Training; they shall have legal personality, seals, and separate bank accounts.
Article 2. The Ministry of Education and Training, the National University of Ho Chi Minh City, and the units named in Article 1 shall be responsible for organizing the handover and completing necessary procedures to ensure the continued operation of the universities.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature.
Article 4. The Minister of Education and Training, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, Rector of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City, and the units named in Article 1 are responsible for implementing this Decision. /.\
