Pursuant to Decree No. 29/CP dated March 30, 1994 of the Government stipulating the tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Pursuant to Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of ministries and agencies at the ministerial level;
On the basis of Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Education;
Pursuant to reports from the industry councils established under Decision Nos. 3704/QĐ-BGD&ĐT/ĐH dated September 28, 1999 and 5995/QĐ-BGD&ĐT/ĐH dated December 29, 1999 of the Minister of Education and Training within the Health Sciences group;
Pursuant to the proposal of the Ministry of Health in its letter No. 2588/YT/K2ĐT dated April 10, 2001;

Article 1. Issuing the framework curriculum for university and college majors in the Health Sciences group including (attached document):
1. The six-year full-time Doctor of Medicine program;
2. The four-year Doctor of Medicine program (old part-time system);
3. The six-year Doctor of Traditional Medicine program;
4. The six-year Doctor of Dentistry program;
5. The five-year Bachelor of Pharmacy program;
6. The four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy program (old part-time system);
7. The four-year Bachelor of Public Health program;
8. The four-year Bachelor of Nursing program;
9. The four-year Bachelor of Medical Technology program (for four specialties: Laboratory Science, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Dental Prosthetics);
10. The two-year Associate Degree in Nursing program.
Article 2. This curriculum shall be implemented in universities and colleges in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors and in the medical departments of other universities starting from the academic year 2001-2002;
Article 3. The Ministry of Health shall continue to direct schools to develop detailed curricula for these majors, direct the compilation and approval of textbooks and teaching materials;
Article 4. The Heads of the Office, the University Department, the Planning and Finance Department of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Director of the Department of Science and Training of the Ministry of Health, the Rectors of Hue University, Thai Nguyen University, the Rectors of universities and colleges in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, and the Rectors of universities with medical departments are responsible for implementing this Decision.
