DECREE OF THE GOVERNMENT
Regarding the amendment to Article 9 of Decree No. 30/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 26, 2002 of the Government stipulating and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Elderly People Ordinance

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Ordinance on the Elderly dated April 28, 2000;
At the proposal of the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs,
DECREE:
Article 1. Amending Article 9 of Decree No. 30/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 26, 2002 stipulating and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Elderly People Ordinance as follows:
"Article 9. Elderly people shall be provided health care according to the Law on Protection of Public Health dated August 11, 1989. Elderly people shall enjoy priority services when seeking medical treatment at healthcare facilities according to the Council of Ministers' Decree No. 23/HĐBT dated January 24, 1991 (now the Government) on the Regulations for Medical Examination and Treatment and Rehabilitation. Elderly people aged 90 and above shall be issued free health insurance cards."
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The provisions of this Decree shall replace those in Article 9 of Decree No. 30/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 26, 2002.
Article 3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally governed city People's Committees are responsible for implementing this Decree.
