DECREE
Issuing the Ordinance on Inventions
______________
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Science and Technology,
DECREE:
Article 1. This Decree promulgates the Ordinance on Inventions.
Article 2. The Ministry of Science and Technology shall be responsible for assisting the Government in performing its function of unified state management over invention activities throughout the country.
Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees, and Chairpersons of municipal People's Committees under the direct central governance shall, within their respective functions, tasks, powers, and actual conditions of their agencies and localities, provide detailed regulations and guidance for the implementation of this Decree.
Article 3. This Decree takes effect from April 25, 2012, replacing the provisions on inventions in the Ordinance on Inventions, Technological Improvements, and Rationalization of Production and Patents issued together with Decree No. 31-CP dated January 23, 1981, which was amended and supplemented by Decree No. 84-HĐBT dated March 20, 1990 of the Council of Ministers (now the Government)./
