Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 approving the planning of the network of universities and colleges for the period 2001-2010;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in Circular No. 3132/TCCB dated April 25, 2005 regarding the establishment of Tien Giang University.
DECISION:
Article 1. Establish Tien Giang University based on Tien Giang College of Education and Tien Giang Community College.
Article 2. Tien Giang University is a university-level training institution directly under the People's Committee of Tien Giang Province and subject to the state management of education by the Ministry of Education and Training; the university has its own legal personality, seal, and separate bank account.
Article 3. Tien Giang University operates in accordance with the Charter of Universities issued together with Decision No. 153/2003/QĐ-TTg dated July 30, 2003 of the Government Chairman.
Article 4. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.
Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
