DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes under Lam Thao district and Phu Nhon district to expand Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province.

DECREE

Article 1. Adjust the administrative boundaries of communes under Lam Thao district and Phu Nhon district to expand Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province as follows:

- Transfer the entire 702.96 hectares of natural area and 4,182 population of Hy Cuong commune; 931.40 hectares of natural area and 5,338 population of Chu Hoa commune; 790.07 hectares of natural area and 6,223 population of Thanh Dinh commune under Lam Thao district to the management of Viet Tri city.

- Transfer the entire 889.18 hectares and 7,382 population of Kim Duc commune; 197.55 hectares of natural area and 5,608 population of Hung Lo commune under Phu Nhon district to the management of Viet Tri city.

Viet Tri city has 10,636.94 hectares of natural area and 168,462 population, with 22 subordinate administrative units including wards: Bach Hac, Thanh Mieu, Tho Son, Tien Cat, Nong Trang, Van Co, Ben Got, Gia Cam, Tan Dan, Duu Lau and communes: Thuy Van, Minh Nong, Minh Phuong, Van Phu, Phuong Lau, Song Lo, Trung Vuong, Hy Cuong, Chu Hoa, Thanh Dinh, Hung Lo, Kim Duc.

Administrative boundaries of Viet Tri city: East borders Laph Thach district and Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc province; West borders Lam Thao town, Hung Son town, Tien Kien commune, Thach Son commune, Lam Thao district; South borders Cao Xa commune, Son Vi commune, Lam Thao district and Ba Vi district, Ha Tay province; North borders Phu Nhon commune, An Dao commune, Tu Da commune, Vinh Phu commune, Phu Nhon district.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- Lam Thao district has 9,754.59 hectares of natural area and 101,422 population, with 14 subordinate administrative units including communes: Xuan Huy, Thach Son, Tien Kien, Son Vi, Hop Hai, Kinh Ke, Ban Nguyen, Vinh Lai, Tu Xa, Son Duong, Xuan Lung, Cao Xa and towns: Lam Thao, Hung Son.

- Phu Nhon district has 15,637.32 hectares of natural area and 98,237 population, with 18 subordinate administrative units including communes: Lien Hoa, Phu My, Tran Tham, Tien Phu, Trung Gia, Bao Thanh, Phu Loc, Gia Thanh, Tien Du, Phu Nam, An Dao, Binh Bo, Tu Da, Vinh Phu, Tri Quan, Phu Nhon, Ha Gap and town: Phong Chau.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
