Regarding the establishment of the University of Dentistry and Oral Medicine

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;

Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in Circular No. 8278/TCCB dated September 18, 2002.

Article 1. Establish the University of Dentistry and Oral Medicine based on the Department of Dentistry and Oral Medicine of Hanoi Medical University and the Hanoi Institute of Dentistry and Oral Medicine.

Article 2. The University of Dentistry and Oral Medicine shall be under the Ministry of Health, having legal personality, its own seal, and separate accounts; its headquarters will be located in Hanoi City.

Article 3. The University of Dentistry and Oral Medicine shall have the following tasks:

- Training university-level staff in the field of dentistry and oral medicine.

- Conducting scientific research and providing social services in the field of dentistry and oral medicine.

Article 4. The Ministry of Health shall organize and arrange for the University of Dentistry and Oral Medicine to commence operations promptly.

Article 5. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.

The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and municipal people's committees directly under the central government, the Rector of Hanoi Medical University, and the Director of the Hanoi Institute of Dentistry and Oral Medicine are responsible for implementing this Decision.
