Regarding the restructuring of Hanoi National University

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law; Decree No. 07/2001/NĐ-CP dated February 1, 2001 of the Government on National Universities;
Considering the proposal of the Minister, Head of the Organizational-Cadre Department of the Government, and the Minister of Education and Training;
DECISION:
Article 1. Restructure Hanoi National University based on the reorganization of existing universities, research institutes, faculties, centers, and subordinate units of Hanoi National University.
Article 2. Hanoi National University shall have legal personality, its own seal bearing the national emblem, and separate accounts, and shall be organized and operate according to the Government's Decree on National Universities and the Regulations on the organization and operation of National Universities issued by the Prime Minister.
Article 3. The organizational structure of Hanoi National University includes:
1. Member Universities:
a) Faculty of Natural Sciences;
b) Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities;
c) Faculty of Foreign Languages.
2. Institute of Information Technology.
3. Research Faculties and Centers directly under the university.
4. Office and some functional departments assisting the Director of Hanoi National University.
5. Subordinate units serving educational training, scientific research, and application activities.
Based on the training and scientific and technological research requirements of each period, the Prime Minister shall decide on the establishment, supplementation, and adjustment of the number of member universities and research institutes of Hanoi National University.
Article 4. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.
Article 5. The Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Science and Technology, the Minister, Head of the Organizational-Cadre Department of the Government, Ministers of other Ministries, Heads of agencies equivalent to ministries, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and municipal People's Committees directly under the central government, and the Director of Hanoi National University are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
