Regarding the issuance of the Regulation on the organization and operation of private universities
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;
Pursuant to Decree No. 73/1999/NĐ-CP dated August 19, 1999 of the Government on policies encouraging socialization in educational, health care, cultural, and sports activities;
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training, as set forth in the Report No. 6800/ĐH&SĐH dated August 4, 2004 regarding the issuance of the Regulation on the organization and operation of private universities,
DECISION:
Article 1. The attached Regulation on the organization and operation of private universities is hereby issued.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The Regulation issued together with Decision No. 240/TTg dated May 24, 1993 of the Prime Minister on the issuance of the Private University Regulation is hereby abolished. The Minister of Education and Training shall be responsible for guiding the detailed implementation of this Regulation in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies.
Article 3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and municipal People's Committees directly under the Central Government are responsible for implementing this Decision.
