DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding the establishment of the Steering Committee for the Construction of the National Assembly Building
and the New Ba Dinh Hall

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Implementing the guidance of the Politburo in Notification No. 53-TB/TW dated April 8, 2002, and Circular No. 73-CV/TW dated June 17, 2002 of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Construction,
DECISION:
Article 1. Establish the Steering Committee for the Construction of the National Assembly Building and the New Ba Dinh Hall with the following functions and powers:
1. Direct the implementation of the Investment Project for the Construction of the National Assembly Building and the New Ba Dinh Hall in the Ba Dinh Central Political Zone, Hanoi (hereinafter referred to as the Project), according to the Feasibility Study Report on the Project approved by the Prime Minister.
2. Direct the proposal of special mechanisms and solutions during the preparation and implementation of the Project, to be submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
3. Inspect and urge relevant ministries, sectors, and the People's Committee of Hanoi City to implement the Project; decide on measures to resolve issues arising during the preparation and implementation of the Project.
4. Direct cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations and experts in preparing and implementing the Project.

Article 4. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.
The Chairman of the Steering Committee, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi City are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
