DECISION
On the establishment of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone
under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City

THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to Decree No. 36/CP dated April 24, 1997 of the Government regarding the issuance of Regulations for Industrial Zones, Export Processing Zones, and High-Tech Zones;
Pursuant to Decree No. 52/CP dated July 8, 1999 of the Government regarding the issuance of Rules on Investment Management and Construction;
Pursuant to Decision No. 145/2002/QĐ-TTg dated October 24, 2002 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone;
Based on the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City at Document No. 2846/UB-VX dated August 19, 2002, and opinions from the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Interior, and Science and Technology,
DECIDES:
Article 1. To establish the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Article 2. The Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone shall have functions and responsibilities to manage activities in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone according to legal provisions.
The Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone has its own legal personality, a separate seal, and is entitled to open accounts at the State Treasury and banks.
Article 3. The organizational structure of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone includes:
- A Director, several Deputy Directors, and members.
The Prime Minister appoints the Director upon proposal by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Minister of Interior.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City appoints Deputy Directors and members based on proposals from the Director of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone.
- Rules of operation, organizational structure, and staffing levels of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone are decided by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City upon proposal by the Director of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from its date of issuance.
Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies and other government agencies, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and Director of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
