DECISION

Regarding the units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decree No. 178/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 3, 2007 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Article 1. Other types of artistic performances

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism,

DECISION:

Article 1. Units under the decision-making authority of the Prime Minister

1. Vietnam Film Institute.

2. Heritage Conservation Institute.

3. Institute of Physical Education and Sports Science (under the General Department of Physical Education and Sports).

4. Institute for Tourism Development Research (under the General Department of Tourism).

5. Change the name of Hanoi Conservatory of Music to National Academy of Music.

6. Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

7. Hue Academy of Music.

8. Hanoi University of Culture.

9. Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture.

10. Change the name of Hanoi Fine Arts University to Vietnam Fine Arts University.

11. Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts University.

12. Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema.

13. Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema.

14. Change the name of Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports I to Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.

Article 2. Regarding the Hanoi Printing College

1. Transfer the Hanoi Printing College from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Ministry of Information and Communications.

2. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall be responsible for transferring the organization, staff, establishment, material assets, premises, and related equipment intact to the Ministry of Information and Communications before April 1, 2008.

Article 6. On the authority over the affiliated public service units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism:

1. Proposes to the Prime Minister to decide on establishing new entities, changing names, merging, dissolving, or converting operational forms for public service units under the Ministry within the Prime Minister's authority;

2. Proposes the Minister of Education and Training to decide on establishing new entities, changing names, merging, or dissolving colleges under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism;

3. Proposes the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to decide on establishing new entities, changing names, merging, or dissolving vocational colleges under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism;

4. Decides on establishing new entities, changing names, merging, dissolving, or converting operational forms for directly subordinate public service units within his/her authority; defines functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structures of public service units under the Ministry, except where otherwise provided by law.

Article 7. Effectiveness and Responsibility for Implementation

This Decision takes effect from the date of signature and replaces Decision No. 340/2005/QĐ-TTg dated December 20, 2005 of the Prime Minister on the reorganization and establishment of public service units directly under the Ministry of Culture, Information.

2. Abolish previous provisions that are contrary to this Decision.

3. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under central cities, relevant agencies, organizations, units, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
