Regarding the reorganization of Ho Chi Minh City National University

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;

Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law; Decree No. 07/2001/NĐ-CP dated February 1, 2001 of the Government on National Universities;

Considering the proposal of the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Board of the Government, and the Minister of Education and Training,

Pursuant to …;

Article 1. Reorganize Ho Chi Minh City National University based on the restructuring of universities, scientific research institutes, faculties, centers, and other subordinate units currently under Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Article 2. Ho Chi Minh City National University shall have legal personality, its own seal bearing the national emblem, and separate accounts, and operate according to the Government's Decree on National Universities and the Regulations on the organization and operation of National Universities issued by the Prime Minister.

Article 3. The organizational structure of Ho Chi Minh City National University includes:

1. Member Universities:

a) University of Science and Technology;

b) University of Natural Sciences;

c) University of Social Sciences and Humanities;

2. Institute of Environment and Resources.

3. Faculties and Centers for Scientific Research and Technology directly under the university.

4. Office and some functional departments assisting the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

5. Subordinate units serving training, scientific research, and technology application activities.

Based on the training and scientific research needs of each period, the Prime Minister shall decide on the establishment, supplementation, and adjustment of the number of member universities and scientific research institutes of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Article 4. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.

Article 5. The Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Science and Technology, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Board of the Government, Ministers of various Ministries, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of provincial and municipal People's Committees directly under the Central Government, and the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
