Regarding the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;

Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 approving the planning of the network of universities and colleges for the period 2001-2010;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training at the report No. 3440/TCCB dated May 5, 2005 on the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture,

DECISION:

Article 1. Establish Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture based on Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture.

Article 2. Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture is a higher education institution under the Ministry of Culture and Information, subject to the state management of education by the Ministry of Education and Training; the university has legal personality, its own seal, and separate bank accounts.

Article 3. Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture operates according to the Charter of universities issued together with Decision No. 153/2003/QĐ-TTg dated July 30, 2003 of the Government Prime Minister.

Article 4. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
