DECREE-LAW
No. 154 days August 13, 1946
CHAIRMAN OF THE VIETNAMESE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC GOVERNMENT
Considering the financial needs,
In accordance with Decree-Law No. 18-B dated January 31, 1946, which permits the issuance of Vietnamese paper money in the Central and Southern regions south of the 16th parallel,
Following the recommendations of the Administrative Committee under the Central Region and the recommendation of the Minister of Finance,
After the approval of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the Council of Ministers,
ENACTS THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:
Article 1
Vietnamese paper money shall now be issued in the northern Central Region from south of the 16th parallel.
Article 2
The issuance of Vietnamese paper money shall be organized and controlled by the Administrative Committee of the Central Region.
Article 3
Anyone who forges or engages in actions that undermine the value of Vietnamese currency shall be prosecuted before a military court.
Article 4
The Minister of Finance, the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Justice, and the Administrative Committee of the Central Region are responsible for implementing this Decree-Law.
