PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Education Law dated June 14, 2005;

Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QD-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Government approving the planning of the university and college network for the period 2001-2010;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training at Report No. 11296/TTr-GDĐT dated October 9, 2006 on the establishment of Bac Lieu University.

Article 1. Establish Bac Lieu University based on Bac Lieu College of Education and Bac Lieu Province Continuing Education Center.

Article 2. Bac Lieu University is a higher education institution directly under the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee and subject to the State management of education by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Bac Lieu University is a public service entity; it has legal personality; it has its own seal and separate account in accordance with the law; its headquarters is located in Bac Lieu City, Bac Lieu Province.

The name of Bac Lieu University in English is: Baclieu University.

Article 3. Bac Lieu University operates in accordance with the Charter of Universities promulgated together with Decision No. 153/2003/QD-TTg dated July 30, 2003 of the Government.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect from the date of issuance.

Article 5. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under the direct jurisdiction of the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
