NOTIFICATION

OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE NO. 15642/TC-PC DATED DECEMBER 31, 2004 REGARDING CORRECTION OF CIRCULAR No. 97/2004/TT-BTC

To:

- Central Office and Departments of the Party,
- Government Office, National Assembly Office,
- President's Office,
- Supreme People's Procuracy,
- Supreme People's Court,
- Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government-affiliated agencies;
- Central bodies of social organizations
- Provincial People's Councils, People's Committees of centrally governed cities
- Central Treasury Management Board
- Departments of Finance, State Treasury Branches in provinces and centrally governed cities
- Department of Legal Affairs (Ministry of Justice)

On October 13, 2004, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular No. 97/2004/TT-BTC guiding the management, payment, and settlement of state budget expenditures in foreign currency through State Treasury Branches. During the drafting and issuance of this document, there were some errors at the beginning section and Section III of the Circular. The corrections are as follows:

Amend paragraph: “This Circular takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette; provisions herein replace Circular No. 40/2001/TT-BTC dated June 5, 2001 issued by the Ministry of Finance” to read: “This Circular takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette; it replaces Circular No. 40/2001/TT-BTC dated June 5, 2001 issued by the Ministry of Finance.”

The Ministry of Finance hereby informs relevant agencies to be aware and adjust accordingly during implementation of this Circular.
