Regarding strengthening the construction, issuance, and use of

Transport News

Transport News is the organ of the Ministry of Transport, the voice of the Party Cadre Committee, the leadership of the Ministry, and the employees of the Transport Industry. In recent years, Transport News (GTVT) has made positive contributions to promoting the policies and laws of the Party and the State. The newspaper has reflected, encouraged, and supported labor production movements, new factors, exemplary models, the application of scientific and technological progress, expanded international cooperation, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the entire industry.

However, the number of issued copies of Transport News is still limited, not reaching many readers, thus restricting the promotion and dissemination of the Party's and the State's policies and those of the industry. This issue exists partly because the quality and attractiveness of the newspaper are still not high, and partly due to the lack of attention from some units' leaders within the Transport Industry towards contributing to building and developing the industry's newspaper.

To continue building and developing Transport News to meet the requirements of political tasks in the new situation, especially in promoting the successful implementation of the Ninth National Congress Resolution of the Party, contributing to accelerating the industrialization and modernization of the country; continuing to implement Directive 22 of the Politburo on strengthening, innovating, and enhancing the effectiveness of the Party's leadership over press and publication work. The Ministry requests the heads of units within the Transport Industry and the Editor-in-Chief of Transport News to perform the following tasks:

1- Transport News must ensure the timely publication of two issues per week, actively innovate in content and form, enhance its timeliness and combativeness, expand the audience and scope of information, making the newspaper rich and attractive to readers. Improve the quality of the editorial staff and reporters, expand the pool of contributors. Increase the distribution of the newspaper throughout the transport industry and gradually extend it to society.

2- For units within the transport industry

+ Create conditions for reporters of the newspaper to quickly grasp reality, deeply reflect all activities accurately and promptly, cooperate with the newspaper to build a contributor team. Timely respond to issues related to the unit's responsibility mentioned in the newspaper or reader opinions requested by the newspaper's Editorial Board.

+ Pay attention to allocating funds to purchase and effectively use Transport News, particularly at grassroots units and small collectives under these units. Focus on units in mountainous, border, island, and remote areas.

Initially, units need to review and check the number of Transport News purchased and provide guidance to subordinate units to purchase and use the industry's newspaper, especially those units that have not purchased or purchased few copies.

Request the heads of agencies and units within the Transport Industry to strictly implement this Directive to contribute to improving political education and ideological work throughout the industry.
