Regarding amendments and supplements to the Graduate Admissions Regulations
(Issued pursuant to Decision No. 02/2001/QĐ-BGDĐT dated January 29, 2001 29/1/2001 which has been amended and supplemented by Decision No. 19/2002/QĐ-BGDĐT dated 9/4/2002 of the Minister of Education and Training)
MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/ND-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 29/CP dated March 30, 1994 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
At the proposal of the Director of the Postgraduate Department,
DECIDES:
Article 1. Amending and supplementing certain provisions of the Graduate Admissions Regulations issued pursuant to Decision No. 02/2001/QĐ-BGDĐT dated January 29, 2001, which has been amended and supplemented by Decision No. 19/2002/QĐ-BGDĐT dated April 9, 2002 of the Minister of Education and Training.
1. Point a Clause 3 Article 5 is amended as follows:
a. Regarding credentials: candidates for Master's programs in these fields must have a regular, part-time, or self-study bachelor's degree; they must also complete a knowledge supplementation program in their field of study. The knowledge supplementation program shall be defined by the training institution.
2. Clause 2 Article 8 deletes the phrase "Under 40 years old."
Article 2. This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. Any previous regulations contrary to this Decision are abolished.
Article 3. The Heads of the Office, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training, and Heads of postgraduate training institutions are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
