Decision No. 1677/2003/QĐ-NHNN amends Article 2 of Decision No. 1247/2003/QĐ-NHNN dated October 20, 2003 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on the issuance of regulations on the banking code system used in transactions through the State Bank of Vietnam.

DECISION OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM

Amending Article 2 of Decision No. 1247/2003/QĐ-NHNN dated October 20, 2003 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam promulgating regulations on the banking code system used in transactions through the State Bank of Vietnam.

GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam Male dated 12/12/1997 and the Law amending Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2022/NĐ-CP dated November 30, 2022 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of National Defense; and Decree No. 03/2025/NĐ-CP dated February 28, 2025 amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree No. 01/2022/NĐ-CP; Article of the Law on Military Service; Transit through, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam dated June 25, the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam Male dated 17/6/2003;

On the basis of the Law on Credit Institutions Credit organizations on the date 12/12/1997,

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CPDecember 23, 2002 05/11/2002 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and subject, organization, unit under the People's Committee of the commune level enterprises, organization functions of Ministries, agencies equivalent to Ministries, the Director at the proposal of the Director of the Ministry's Office; resolutions of Accounting Director Accounting Finance Department, - The following amendments are made to Article 2 of Decision No. 1247/2003/QĐ-NHNN dated October 20, 2003 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam promulgating regulations on the banking code system used in transactions through the State Bank of Vietnam:

DECISION:

Article 1. "This Decision shall take effect from July 1, 2004 and replace Decision No. 59/2000/QĐ-NHNN2 dated February 22, 2000 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam promulgating regulations on the banking code system, credit organizations and state treasuries having accounts at the State Bank of Vietnam for direct transaction settlement and Decision No. 412/2002/QĐ-NHNN dated April 25, 2002 on the issuance of banking codes in the inter-bank electronic payment system of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam."

Other legal documents previously stipulating the banking codes used in transactions through the State Bank of Vietnam that conflict with this Decision shall cease to be effective.

The Director of the Office of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Head of the Accounting and Finance Department, the Director of the Information Technology Department of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Heads of units under the State Bank of Vietnam, the Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam Trading Departments, the Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam Branches in provinces and centrally-administered cities, and the General Managers (Directors) of service providers for payment systems are responsible for implementing this Decision./.

Article 2. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. The Head of the State Bank of Vietnam Office, the Director of the Accounting and Finance Department, the Director of the Banking Information Technology Department, the Heads of units under the State Bank of Vietnam, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Trading Departments, the Governors of the State Bank of Vietnam Branches in provinces and centrally governed cities; the General Directors (Directors) of payment service providers are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
