Regarding the restructuring of the National Steering Committee

to address the consequences of Agent Orange used by the United States during the war in Vietnam

 

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decision No. 33/1999/QĐ-TTg dated March 1, 1999 of the Government Chairman on the establishment of the National Steering Committee to address the consequences of Agent Orange used by the United States during the war in Vietnam;

Pursuant to Decision No. 14/2001/QĐ-TTg dated September 25, 2001 of the Government Chairman on the change of members of the National Steering Committee to address the consequences of Agent Orange used by the United States during the war in Vietnam;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the National Steering Committee to address the consequences of Agent Orange used by the United States during the war in Vietnam,

 

DECISION:

Article 1. The organization of the National Steering Committee to address the consequences of Agent Orange used by the United States during the war in Vietnam shall be changed as follows: Chairman: Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Vice-Chairman: Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, the Steering Committee is permitted to use the seal and account of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the office assisting the Steering Committee is located at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Article 2. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature. All previous provisions contrary to this Decision are hereby abolished.

Article 3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
