REGARDING THE ADJUSTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL PARCEL POST RATES PROVIDED BY THE POST AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUP OF VIETNAM

Vietnam's telecommunications provides

THE MINISTER OF POST AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Pursuant to Decree No. 90/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 11, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Post and Telecommunications Ministry;

Pursuant to Decision No. 217/2003/QĐ-TTg dated October 27, 2003 of the Prime Minister on the management of postal and telecommunications service rates;

Considering the proposal of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Corporation (now Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group) at Document No. 2328/GCTT dated April 27, 2006 requesting the authority to independently adjust international parcel post rates for the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group;

In accordance with the proposal of the Director of the Planning and Finance Department.

Pursuant to …;

Article 1. The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group shall establish the rates charged to customers for its international parcel services. The rates set by the enterprise must be based on cost, ensure competition in accordance with the law, and comply with state regulations on rate management.

Article 2. Prior to implementing the rates, the enterprise must register with the Post and Telecommunications Ministry in accordance with the prescribed procedures.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decision are hereby abolished.

Article 4. The Head of the Office, the Director of the Planning and Finance Department, the Heads of relevant units under the Post and Telecommunications Ministry, the General Director of the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group, and related units are responsible for enforcing this Decision.
