THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Pursuant to Decree No. 188/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 27, 2007 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Pursuant to Decision No. 3486/2001/QĐ-BYT dated August 13, 2001, issued by the Minister of Health on the Regulation on the Management of Chemicals, Insecticides, and Bactericides for Household and Medical Use;
At the proposal of the Director of the Preventive Medicine and Environment Department under the Ministry of Health,

Article 1. The List of chemicals, insecticides, and bactericides for household and medical use that are permitted to be registered for use, permitted to be registered but with restricted use, and prohibited from use in Vietnam in 2008 is hereby promulgated together with this Decision.
Article 2. For chemicals not included in the list prescribed in Article 1 of this Decision, the Ministry of Health will consider each specific case to permit registration for use.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Abolish Decision No. 09/2006/QĐ-BYT dated February 7, 2006, issued by the Minister of Health on the issuance of the List of chemicals, insecticides, and bactericides for household and medical use that are permitted to be registered for use, permitted to be registered but with restricted use, and prohibited from use in Vietnam in 2006.
Article 4. The Heads of the Office of the Ministry, the Inspectorate, the Preventive Medicine and Environment Department; Heads of Departments, Directors of Bureaus, General Directors of General Bureaus under the Ministry of Health, Heads of subordinate units of the Ministry, Directors of Provincial Health Services under centrally governed cities and provinces, Heads of related units, organizations, and individuals within and outside Vietnam engaged in the production, trade, and use of chemicals, insecticides, and bactericides for household and medical use in Vietnam are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
