DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE

Regarding the issuance of the Regulation on protecting state secrets in the Finance sector.

THE MINISTER OF FINANCE

Pursuant to the Ordinance on protecting state secrets dated December 28, 2000;

Pursuant to the Decree No. 33/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 28, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Ordinance on protecting state secrets;

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 77/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 1, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance;

Pursuant to Circular No. 12/2002/TT-BCA (A11) dated September 13, 2002 of the Ministry of Public Security guiding the implementation of Decree No. 33/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 28, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Ordinance on protecting state secrets.

At the proposal of the Head of the Legal Department and the Director of the Office of the Ministry of Finance,

DECISION:

Article 1. This Decision promulgates the Regulation on protecting state secrets in the Finance sector.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. The following documents are hereby abolished:

- Decision No. 15/1999/QĐ-CĐTQG dated September 24, 1999 of the National Reserve Agency on the issuance of the Regulation on protecting state secrets in the National Reserve sector;

- Decision No. 500/2000/QĐ-TCHQ dated October 27, 2000 of the General Customs Department Head on the issuance of the Regulation on protecting state secrets in the Customs sector;

- Circular No. 510/VGCP-VP dated June 19, 1993 of the State Price Control Council Office on protecting state secrets in the archival work of the State Price Control Council; and other regulations on protecting state secrets in the Finance sector that conflict with the Regulation promulgated herein.

Article 3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees, and Heads of units and organizations under the Finance sector are responsible for implementing this Decision.
