Pursuant to Decree No. 189/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 27, 2007 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to Decree No. 12/2006/NĐ-CP dated January 23, 2006 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Law on Trade regarding international trade activities and foreign trade agency activities;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP dated February 24, 2010 of the Government on key measures to control inflation, stabilize macroeconomic conditions, and ensure social welfare;
In order to protect consumer rights and road traffic safety, The Ministry of Industry and Trade supplements the import procedures for passenger cars with up to nine seats that have not been used (hereinafter referred to as passenger cars with up to nine seats) as follows:
Article 1. Supplementary Import Procedures
When importing passenger cars with up to nine seats, traders must, in addition to complying with current regulations, submit the following documents to competent state agencies:
1. A certificate of designation or authorization as an importer or distributor from the original manufacturer or trader of such vehicles, or a franchise agreement from the original manufacturer or trader of such vehicles, legalized by the Vietnamese diplomatic mission abroad according to the provisions of the law: one (1) certified true copy stamped by the trader.
2. A certificate of qualification for vehicle warranty and maintenance facilities issued by the Ministry of Transport: one (1) certified true copy stamped by the trader.
Article 2. Effective Date
This Circular takes effect from June 26, 2011./.
