Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to Decision No. 341/2005/QĐ-TTg dated December 26, 2005 of the Prime Minister on upgrading the South Branch of the Water Resources Survey and Planning Institute under the Water Resources Planning Institute to the Southern Water Resources Planning Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Water Resources, the Head of the Legal Department, and the Head of the Cadre and Civil Servant Department,

Article 1. Amending and supplementing some Articles of Decision No. 09/2006/QĐ-BNN dated February 8, 2006 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the Regulations on functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Southern Water Resources Planning Institute as follows:
1. Repealing Clause 14 Article 2 "Performing office work for the Basin Management Board as assigned" and amending Clause 15 to become Clause 14 Article 2
"14. Performing international cooperation tasks related to water resources, water environment, and water quality in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry and the State."
2. Amending and supplementing Article 3 (organizational structure) as follows:
a) Amending and supplementing Point b Clause 2 Article 3 as follows: "b. Design and planning group:
- Two Planning and Design Departments for Water Resources (specific department names to be determined by the Director of the Southern Water Resources Planning Institute);
- Hydrology and Water Source Department;
- Topography and Geology Department".
b) Abolishing the entire content of Clause 4 Article 3 (Office of the Basin Management Board).
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette; all previous regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development that conflict with this Decision are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Cadre and Civil Servant Department, the Department of Water Resources, the Financial Department, the Legal Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, the Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and the Director of the Southern Water Resources Planning Institute are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
