DECISION
Regarding the establishment of the Nam Giang Border Economic Zone,
Nam Giang district, Quang Nam province

PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province at the Petition No. 1721/TTr-UB dated September 21, 2004 and No. 3008/TTr-UBND dated November 11, 2005;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Planning and Investment at the Official Letter No. 4331/BKH-QLKT dated June 13, 2006 and No. 5119/BKH-QLKT dated July 11, 2006.
DECISION:
Article 1. The Nam Giang Border Economic Zone shall include two communes: Chà Vàl and La Dêê in Nam Giang district, Quang Nam province.
Article 2. The Nam Giang Border Economic Zone shall be subject to policies for border economic zones as prescribed in Decision No. 53/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 19, 2001 of the Prime Minister on policies for border economic zones and Decision No. 273/2005/QĐ-TTg amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decision No. 53/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 19, 2001.
Article 3. The People's Committee of Quang Nam Province shall be responsible for:
- Preparing and implementing the planning for construction of the Nam Giang Border Economic Zone within the scope specified in Article 1.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations on management of natural conservation areas.
- Coordinating closely with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to effectively implement projects related to security, defense, and foreign affairs.
- Prioritizing the sequence of investment and construction of works and sub-works to complete and put into effective use as soon as possible.
Article 4. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under the direct jurisdiction of the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
