DECISION
Regarding the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry City of Ho Chi Minh

PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 approving the planning of the network of universities and colleges for the period 2001-2010;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in Circular No. 8478/TCCB dated September 23, 2004 on the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry,
DECISION:
Article 1. Establish Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry based on Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry IV.
Article 2. Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry is a higher education institution under the Ministry of Industry, subject to state management in education by the Ministry of Education and Training; the university has its own legal personality, seal, and separate account.
Article 3. Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry operates in accordance with the University Charter issued together with Decision No. 153/2003/QĐ-TTg dated July 30, 2003 of the Government Chairman.
Article 4. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.
Article 5. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees are responsible for implementing this Decision.
