Regarding the amendment of Decision No. 42/2004/QĐ-BBCVT
dated October 5, 2004, issued by the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications on
"List of Telecommunication Equipment Required to Be Labeled with Standard Compliance Stickers"

THE MINISTER OF POST AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Pursuant to the Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance dated May 25, 2002;
Pursuant to Decree No. 160/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 3, 2004, promulgated by the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Ordinance on Posts and Telecommunications concerning Telecommunications;
On the basis of Decree No. 90/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 11, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications;
To implement the Prime Minister's opinion expressed in Official Letter No. 3131/VPCP-CCHC dated June 8, 2005 regarding the non-application of standard compliance stickers for imported mobile phones;
At the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. Amend Point 2, Section 1 of the List of Telecommunication Equipment Required to Be Labeled with Standard Compliance Stickers issued together with Decision No. 42/2004/QĐ-BBCVT dated October 5, 2004, of the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications as follows: "2. Mobile handheld terminal equipment (this does not apply to imported equipment)."
Article 2. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.
Article 3. The Director of the Office, the Director of the Quality Management Department of Posts and Telecommunications and Information Technology, the Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, and organizations and individuals engaged in the production, business, and import of telecommunication equipment shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
