Regulations on the suspension of transshipment trade and temporary import of veneer into Vietnam for re-export to the United States

Pursuant to the Law on Foreign Trade Management dated June 12, 2017;
Pursuant to Decree No. 98/2017/NĐ-CP dated August 18, 2017, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to Decree No. 69/2018/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2018 of the Government detailing certain provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management;
At the proposal of the Director of the Import-Export Department,
The Minister of Industry and Trade issues this Circular stipulating the suspension of transshipment trade and temporary import of veneer into Vietnam for re-export to the United States.
Article 1. Scope of Regulation
This Circular stipulates the suspension of transshipment trade and temporary import of veneer into Vietnam for re-export to the United States.
Article 2. Applicability
1. Business entities participating in transshipment trade, temporary import, and re-export of goods.
2. Organizations and management agencies overseeing transshipment trade, temporary import, and re-export of goods.
3. Agencies, organizations, and individuals related to transshipment trade, temporary import, and re-export of goods.
Article 3. Suspension of transshipment trade, temporary import, and re-export of veneer
1. This Circular takes effect from December 27, 2019 until December 31, 2024.
2. During the implementation of this Circular, if any difficulties arise, business entities and relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals shall report them in writing to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for resolution./.
