PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;

Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 approving the planning of the university network for the period 2001-2010;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in the report No. 9867/TCCB dated October 7, 2003 on the establishment of Quy Nhon University,

DECISION:

Article 1. Rename Quy Nhon University of Education to Quy Nhon University.

Article 2. Quy Nhon University is a higher education institution under the Ministry of Education and Training; the university has its own legal personality, seal, and separate bank account.

Article 3. The tasks of Quy Nhon University are:

1. To train university-level teachers and gradually expand training programs that match the university's capacity and social human resource needs.

2. RESEARCH FOR ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT.

Article 4. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Article 5. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
