Issuing temporary regulations on public restroom standards serving tourists and implementation plan.t s The Head of the Office, Directors of the Travel Department, Hotel Department, Directors of Cultural, Sports and Tourism Departments of provinces, relevant units and organizations, individuals shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.

WHEREAS,Nguyen Van TuanTEMPORARY REGULATIONS organize credit institutions, foreign bank branches are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Circular.ON PUBLIC RESTROOM STANDARDS, Article 1. This Circular stipulates infrastructure, equipment and training of specialized staff to meet requirements for practicing and competing in badminton.

SERVING TOURISTS

Decision No. 225/QĐ-TCDL dated May 2012i DECREES:y of the Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration tiesThese regulations set out the minimum criteria for public restrooms meeting the standard for serving tourists at tourist attractions, stopovers, and other tourist service locations.

2. Scope

DECISION:

Article 1. These regulations apply to organizations and individuals constructing public restrooms at tourist attractions, stopovers, and other tourist service locations.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature.

Article 4. 3.1. Public Restroom

3.2. Toilet Room

A toilet room with a toilet bowl and necessary equipment and supplies for users, equipped with an internal lock to ensure privacy.

Hand Washing Area

This technical regulation sets out technical requirements, testing methods, sampling procedures; management requirements; responsibilities of organizations and individuals producing, trading, and importing cigarettes.

1. Scope of application

- Meeting hygiene conditions according to the national technical regulation on toilets for wastewater treatment systems (QCVN 01:2011/BYT) issued together with Circular No. 27/2011/TT-BYT dated June 24, 2011 of the Ministry of Health;

- Clear signage indicating public restrooms in Vietnamese and English (with the abbreviation WC), additional languages may be added where necessary, and symbols distinguishing male and female restrooms should be placed in visible locations;1.3.4. Fault

- Located conveniently, easily accessible, ensuring security and safety for users;

- Having an appropriate number of toilet rooms based on the number of users;

- Equipped with necessary facilities that function properly, securely installed, and neatly arranged;

- Ensuring ventilation, cleanliness, and adequate lighting;

- In suitable locations, each restroom must have at least one toilet room for disabled persons. This room must have a wider door for wheelchairs and pathways around the restroom for wheelchair access;

3.3. - Public restrooms must be at least 2.5 meters high, with tiled walls and non-slip flooring;ay

- Each toilet room must have a minimum area of 2.5 square meters for one adult user;

- Separate toilet rooms and hand washing areas for males and females; - A wastewater management system complying with specified standards. Facilities and Equipment

1. Facilities in each toilet room:u + Internal door lock;

+ Coat hooks attached to the door or wall-mounted racks;

+ Toilet bowl;

+ Toilet paper;

+ Trash can with lid.

Facilities in the hand washing area:

+ Sink and faucet (surrounded by a stone base);

+ Half-length mirror mounted above the sink;

2.1. Architectural design

+ Soap;

+ Towels, or paper towels, or automatic hand dryers;² + Male restrooms should also have urinals.

Lighting System:

Adequate lighting must be provided for all areas (entrances, inside toilet rooms, and hand washing areas). Where there is no electricity, natural light should be sufficient.

2.2. Ventilation System:i

- Proper ventilation systems or natural ventilation (opening windows) must be installed to ensure air circulation.

Service Level

- Providing clean water 24/7; encouraging hot water supply in winter for hand washing areas;

- Staff to clean, maintain, replace missing or exhausted supplies, and perform maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment;

- Cleanliness level: Always maintaining cleanliness in all areas, free from odors; floors kept dry without standing water; waste collected and treated according to regulations.

+ A sink and faucet (with a stone platform around the sink);

+ A half-length mirror (mounted above the sink);

+ Hand soap;

+ Towels, or hand-wiping paper, or an automatic hand dryer;

The men's restroom additionally has a hanging urinal.

- Lighting system: Adequate lighting must be installed for all areas (entrances, inside the restroom, and the hand washing area). In places without electrical power, natural light should be designed to ensure sufficient illumination.

- Ventilation system: An appropriate ventilation system or natural ventilation (opening windows) should be installed to ensure air circulation.

3. Service Level

- Provide clean water 24/7; encourage provision of hot water during winter for the hand washing area;

- Staff should be available to clean, maintain hygiene, replenish missing or depleted supplies, and perform maintenance on facilities and equipment;

- Hygiene level: Ensure cleanliness in all areas at all times, free from odors; keep floors dry, without standing water; collect and dispose of waste according to regulations.
