Decision No. 23/2007/QD-BNN of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development stipulates the list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use, restricted use, and prohibited use in Vietnam. REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE LIST OF PLANT PROTECTIVE CHEMICALS PERMITTED FOR USE, RESTRICTED FOR USE, AND PROHIBITED FROM USE IN VIETNAM

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance promulgated on August 8, 2001;
At the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department,

 

DECISION:

Article 1: ANNEXED TO THIS DECISION;

1. The list of plant protective chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list) includes:

1.1. Chemicals used in agriculture:

1.1.1 Insecticides: 264 active ingredients with 832 trade names.

1.1.2 Fungicides: 214 active ingredients with 572 trade names.

1.1.3 Herbicides: 125 active ingredients with 377 trade names.

1.1.4 Rodenticides: 13 active ingredients with 19 trade names.

1.1.5 Growth regulators: 40 active ingredients with 93 trade names.

1.1.6 Insect attractants: 04 active ingredients with 05 trade names.

1.1.7 Snailcides: 11 active ingredients with 58 trade names.

1.1.8 Adjuvants (waste): 04 active ingredients with 05 trade names.

1.2. Termite control agents: 11 active ingredients with 11 trade names.

1.3. Wood preservatives: 05 active ingredients with 06 trade names.

1.4. Warehouse fumigants: 05 active ingredients with 05 trade names.

2. The list of plant protective chemicals restricted for use in Vietnam (attached list) includes:

2.1. Chemicals used in agriculture:

2.1.1 Insecticides: 06 active ingredients with 11 trade names.

2.1.2 Rodenticides: 01 active ingredient with 03 trade names.

2.2. Termite control agents: 02 active ingredients with 02 trade names.

2.3. Wood preservatives: 04 active ingredients with 04 trade names.

2.4. Warehouse fumigants: 03 active ingredients with 04 trade names.

3. The list of plant protective chemicals prohibited from use in Vietnam (attached list) includes:

3.1. Insecticides, wood preservatives: 21 active ingredients.

3.2. Fungicides: 6 active ingredients.

3.3. Rodenticides: 1 active ingredient.

3.4. Herbicides: 1 active ingredient.

Article 2: The export and import of plant protective chemicals issued with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with the regulations on export and import of goods issued together with Decree No. 12/2006/NĐ-CP dated January 23, 2006 of the Government.

Article 3: The Plant Protection Department shall be responsible for the regulations on the use of plant protective chemicals restricted for use in Vietnam.

Article 4: This Decision takes effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Any previous decisions that conflict with this Decision are hereby abolished.

Article 5: The Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Ministry's Office, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
