Decree-Law No. 231/SL amending Decree-Law No. 19-SL dated February 16, 1947 on the organization of military courts in zones.

CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 34 dated March 25, 1946 and Decree-Law No. 35/SL dated March 19, 1947 organizing the Ministry of National Defense;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 19-SL dated February 16, 1947 organizing Military Circuit Courts;

Considering the current situation;

At the proposal of the Ministers of Justice and National Defense,

After deliberation by the Council of Ministers;

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:

Article 1

Clause 3 of Decree-Law No. 19-SL dated February 16, 1947 stating "For each position mentioned above, one regular staff member and one alternate staff member will be appointed to replace the regular staff member when they are busy," is hereby amended as follows:

" For each position mentioned above, one regular staff member and one or two alternate staff members shall be appointed to replace the regular staff member when they are busy."

Specifically for each position of specialized judge, the method of nomination remains the same, but depending on local conditions, the Director of Justice in the Circuit may nominate a second-level judge from the province where the military court convenes as an alternate judge.

Article 2

The Ministers of Justice and National Defense shall implement this Decree-Law accordingly.
