CIRCULAR
Issuing "Regulations on Maximum Residue Limits for Veterinary Drugs in Food"
Pursuant to the Food Safety Law dated June 17, 2010;
On the basis of Pursuant to Decree No. 38/2012/NĐ-CP dated April 25, 2012 of the Government detailing implementation of certain provisions of the Food Safety Law
The Minister of Health issues this Circular on "Regulations on Maximum Residue Limits for Veterinary Drugs in Food".;
On the basis of Decree No. 63/2012/NĐ-CP dated August 31, 2012 of the Government stipulating functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
This Circular annexes "Regulations on Maximum Residue Limits for Veterinary Drugs in Food". This Circular takes effect from October 1, 2013.
Article 1. In case corresponding National Technical Regulations are issued, the Maximum Residue Limits for Veterinary Drugs in Food shall be implemented according to such National Technical Regulations. Part 2 titled "Maximum Residue Limits for Veterinary Drugs in Food" attached to Decision No. 46/2007/QĐ-BYT dated December 19, 2007 of the Minister of Health on "Regulations on Maximum Levels of Biological and Chemical Contamination in Food" shall be abolished from the date this Circular takes effect.
Article 2. This Circular will be reviewed and amended as necessary based on management requirements. During its implementation, if there are any difficulties, relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals should promptly report them to the Ministry of Health (Food Safety Administration) for consideration and resolution.
The Food Safety Administration, specialized state management agencies, and related units are responsible for enforcing this Circular./.
