DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT
Regarding the provisional announcement of public maritime channels and dedicated maritime channels
and dedicated maritime channels
THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION
Pursuant to Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport.
Pursuant to Decision No. 133/2003/QĐ-TTg dated July 4, 2003 of the Prime Minister on the management of maritime channels.
Based on the conclusions of the meeting held on March 23, 2005 regarding the announcement of the list of public maritime channels and dedicated maritime channels.
In accordance with the proposal of the Director of the Transport Department and the Director of the Vietnam Maritime Administration in Circular No. 641/CHHVN-BCB dated May 6, 2005 concerning the provisional announcement of four dedicated maritime channels.
DECISION:
Article 1. Pending the passage of the amended Vietnam Maritime Code at the National Assembly session in May 2005, the following provisional announcement of the list of public maritime channels and dedicated maritime channels is hereby made:
1) Dedicated maritime channels:
- Cam Pha Channel: From buoy number 0 (P0), Con Ong, Cam Pha to the dedicated coal wharf at Cam Pha.
- Nghi Son Cement Channel: From buoy number 0 (P0) to the dedicated cement factory wharf at Nghi Son Cement Plant.
- Hyundai Vinashin Channel: From the end of the oil transfer area to the Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard.
- Binh Tri Channel: From buoy number 0 (P0) to the dedicated cement factory wharf at Sao Mai Cement Plant.
2) Public maritime channels: Apart from the dedicated maritime channels specified in Clause 1 of this Article, all remaining maritime channels are public maritime channels.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 3. The Chief of the Office, the Director of the Transport Department, the Inspector General, the Director of the Vietnam Maritime Administration, heads of relevant agencies, units, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
