DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Issuing temporarily the Khmer Language Programat primary and lower secondary schools

MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 85/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;

Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Pursuant to Directive No. 14/2001/CT-TTg dated June 11, 2001 of the Prime Minister on renewing the general education program to implement Resolution No. 40/2000/QH10 of the National Assembly;

Based on the conclusion of the Appraisal Board for the Khmer Language Program at primary and lower secondary schools, dated August 25, 2005;

This Circular annexes the Regulation on the organization and operation of primary schools, junior high schools, high schools, and general education schools with multiple levels of private type.

DECISION:

Article 1. Issuing temporarily with this Decision, the Khmer Language Program at primary and lower secondary schools.

Article 2. This Decision takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. The Program issued with this Decision serves as the basis for compiling teaching materials and guiding the teaching of Khmer Language at primary and lower secondary schools. The Director of the Primary Education Department and the Director of the Secondary Education Department shall be responsible for guiding the implementation of this Decision.

Article 3. Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, Heads of Offices, Directors of the Primary Education Department, Directors of the Secondary Education Department, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training, Directors of Departments of Education and Training are responsible for enforcing this Decision.
