Regarding the issuance of Industry Standards

THE MINISTER OF POSTS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Pursuant to the Quality of Goods Ordinance dated December 24, 1999;
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 90/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 11, 2002 stipulating the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications;
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 179/2004/NĐ-CP dated October 21, 2004 stipulating state management over product and commodity quality;
Based on the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department.
DECISION:
Article 1. Issued along with this Decision are two Industry Standards:
1. Protection against the influence of power lines on telecommunications cables and radio transmission stations - Technical requirements, Code TCN 68-161: 2006;
2. Lightning protection and grounding regulations for telecommunication works, Code TCN 68-174: 2006.
Article 2. The Industry Standards mentioned in Article 1 shall replace the corresponding Industry Standards:
1. Protection against the influence of power lines on telecommunications systems - Technical requirements, Code TCN 68-161: 1996 issued together with Decision No. 897/QĐ-KHCN dated December 3, 1996 of the General Post Office Director;
2. Lightning protection and grounding regulations for telecommunication works, Code TCN 68-174: 1998 issued together with Decision No. 773/1998/QĐ-TCBĐ dated December 19, 1998 of the General Post Office Director.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 4. The Head of the Office, Directors of the Science and Technology Department, heads of subordinate agencies and units under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
