Supplementing and Amending Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN dated March 17, 2009 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the List of Prohibited and Restricted Medicines, Chemicals, and Antibiotics for Veterinary Use

Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to the Veterinary Law 2004;

Pursuant to Decree No. 33/2005/NĐ-CP dated March 15, 2005 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain Articles of the Veterinary Law;

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development supplements and amends Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN dated March 17, 2009 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the List of Prohibited and Restricted Medicines, Chemicals, and Antibiotics for Veterinary Use as follows:

Article 1. Removing Tylosin phosphate from the List of Prohibited Medicines, Chemicals, and Antibiotics for Veterinary Use in Appendix 2 issued together with Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN dated March 17, 2009 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the List of Prohibited and Restricted Medicines, Chemicals, and Antibiotics for Veterinary Use.

Article 2. Supplementing Tylosin phosphate and products containing Tylosin phosphate including Tylan 40 registered under EC-01; Tylan 40 sufa G registered under EC-02; Tylan 100 registered under EC-19 of Elanco Animal Health-US into the List of Restricted Medicines, Chemicals, and Antibiotics for Veterinary Use in Appendix 4 issued together with Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN dated March 17, 2009 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the List of Prohibited and Restricted Medicines, Chemicals, and Antibiotics for Veterinary Use.

Article 3. Extending the circulation period of products containing Gentian violet (Crystal violet) prepared in spray form for terrestrial animals until December 31, 2009.

Article 4. This Circular takes effect from the date of signature.

Article 5. Director of the Ministry's Office, Chief of the Department of Animal Health, Heads of relevant units, Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, organizations and individuals, both domestic and foreign, involved in the production and trade of veterinary drugs including aquatic veterinary drugs are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
