Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations No. 68/2006/QH11 promulgated on July 12, 2006;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 51/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 22, 2008 stipulating the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;

Pursuant to Circular No. 23/2007/TT-BKHCN dated September 28, 2007 of the Ministry of Science and Technology guiding the development, review, and issuance of technical regulations;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Department of Science and Technology,

DECISION:

Article 1. Issued together with this Decision "National Technical Regulations on Classification and Construction of Domestic Steel-Hulled Chemical Tanker Barges"; Registration Code: QCVN 01:2008/BGTVT.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette; the Decision No. 111/2002/QĐ-BGTVT dated January 14, 2002 of the Ministry of Transport on the issuance of the industry standard "Classification and Construction Regulations for Hazardous Chemical Tanker Barges with Steel Hulls" (22 TCN 281-01) is hereby repealed.

Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology, the Heads of all agencies and units under the Ministry of Transport, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
