DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding the issuance of the National Statistical Indicators System
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Based on the Statistics Law dated June 17, 2003;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 40/2004/NĐ-CP dated February 13, 2004 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Statistics;
Considering the proposal of the General Statistics Office Director,
DECISION:
Article 1. The National Statistical Indicators System is hereby promulgated together with this Decision.
Article 2. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy shall base on the National Statistical Indicators System assigned to them and their management and usage requirements for their respective ministries and sectors to issue the Statistical Indicators System within their fields of responsibility after having been professionally reviewed by the General Statistics Office.
Article 3. The General Statistics Office Director is responsible for standardizing concepts, contents, calculation methods, data sources for each indicator in the National Statistical Indicators System and stipulating the Provincial, District, Commune Statistical Indicator Systems to be uniformly implemented throughout the country.
Article 4. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, Supreme People's Procuracy, Supreme People's Court, National Assembly Office, Central Organization Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam, central agencies of political-social organizations are responsible for collecting and compiling the indicators assigned in the National Statistical Indicators System and providing them to the General Statistics Office for consolidation, compilation, and publication.
Article 5. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous documents that contradict this Decision are abolished.
Article 6. The General Statistics Office Director, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
