Decision No. 31/2007/QĐ-NHNN on Amending the Regulation on the Organization and Operation of the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City issued together with Decision No. 1050/2004/QĐ-NHNN dated August 23, 2004 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.

DECISION OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK

Regarding the amendment to the Regulation on the organization and operation of the Representative Office in

Ho Chi Minh City issued together with Decision No. 1050/2004/QĐ-NHNN dated August 23, 2004 of the Governor of the State Bank

of Vietnam

GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam 1997 and the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Articles of the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam 2003;

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 52/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 19, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the State Bank of Vietnam;

Upon the proposal of the Head of the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City and the Director of the Department of Organization and Cadres,

DECISION:

Article 1. Amend Article 3 of the Regulation on the organization and operation of the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City issued pursuant to Decision No. 1050/2004/QĐ-NHNN dated August 23, 2004 of the Governor of the State Bank as follows:

"Article 3. The Representative Office shall have the following tasks and powers:

1. Coordinate with Departments and Bureaus of the State Bank to implement the policies and regulations of the State and the industry in the southern region, participate in working groups of the State Bank (if necessary), and prepare relevant content for the Governor of the State Bank to attend meetings of the Government, Ministries, sectors, or localities in the southern region.

2. Receive and synthesize information from the Banking Information Technology Bureau; Departments and Bureaus of the State Bank, and reports from Branches in southern provinces and cities. Based on this, study, analyze, evaluate, and propose to the Governor of the State Bank measures to address issues related to monetary policy and banking activities in southern provinces and cities.

3. Implement office work, management, and service for the leadership's guidance and control, and for the activities of working groups of the State Bank when they come to work according to the program approved by the Governor of the State Bank.

4. Carry out reception, external relations, and receive international delegations, ministries, sectors, and localities coming to work with the State Bank in Ho Chi Minh City.

5. Monitor and implement policies for staff of the unit and retired staff of units at the headquarters residing in Ho Chi Minh City.

6. Coordinate with relevant units to carry out security work, ensure order and safety in the office.

7. Implement asset management and accounting, settlement of operating costs of the Representative Office in accordance with state and industry regulations.

8. Perform other tasks assigned by the Governor of the State Bank."

Article 2. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Director of the Department of Organization and Cadres, the Head of the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Heads of relevant units under the State Bank are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
