THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phú Thọ Province.
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to expand Phú Thọ City, establish communes and wards under Phú Thọ City and Đoan Hùng District, Phú Thọ Province as follows:
1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand Phú Thọ City; establishing communes and wards under Phú Thọ City.
a) Transfer the entire 1,630.4 hectares of natural area and 10,383 population of Phú Hộ Town under Phù Ninh District; the entire 1,088.34 hectares of natural area and 9,802 population of Hà Thạch Commune under Lâm Thao District; 413.91 hectares of natural area and 3,178 population (Thanh Vinh Village) of Thanh Hà Commune under Thanh Ba District to Phú Thọ City for management.
b) Dissolve Phú Hộ Town to establish Phú Hộ Commune based on the entire natural area and population of Phú Hộ Town.

c) Establish Thanh Vinh Commune based on 413.91 hectares of natural area and 3,178 population of Thanh Vinh Village (mentioned in Clause 1, Point a).

d) Establish Trường Thịnh Ward based on the entire natural area and population of Trường Thịnh Commune.
Trường Thịnh Ward has 420.14 hectares of natural area and 6,692 population.
Administrative boundary of Trường Thịnh Ward: East borders Hà Thạch Commune; West borders Thanh Vinh Commune; South borders Âu Cơ, Hùng Vương, Phong Châu Wards, Thanh Minh Commune and Tam Nông District; North borders Văn Lung and Hà Lộc Communes.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of the districts to expand Phú Thọ City and establish wards and communes under Phú Thọ City:
- Phú Thọ City has 6,328.65 hectares of natural area and 62,863 population; it includes 10 direct administrative units comprising Âu Cơ, Phong Châu, Hùng Vương Wards, Trường Thịnh Ward, and Hà Lộc, Văn Lung, Thanh Minh, Phú Hộ, Hà Thạch, Thanh Vinh Communes.
Administrative boundary of Phú Thọ City: East borders Phù Ninh and Lâm Thao Districts; West borders Thanh Ba District; South borders Thanh Ba, Tam Nông, and Lâm Thao Districts; North borders Phù Ninh and Thanh Ba Districts.
- Phù Ninh District retains 16,820.6 hectares of natural area and 104,780 population; it includes 20 direct administrative units comprising An Đạo, Bảo Thanh, Bình Bộ, Gia Thanh, Hạ Giáp, Hùng Lô, Kim Đức, Liên Hoa, Phú Lộc, Phú Mỹ, Phú Nham, Phù Ninh, Tiên Du, Tiên Phú, Trạm Thản, Trị Quận, Trung Giáp, Tử Đà, Vĩnh Phú Communes and Phong Châu Town.
- Lâm Thao District retains 12,101.66 hectares of natural area and 114,030 population; it includes 16 direct administrative units comprising Bản Nguyên, Cao Xá, Chu Hoá, Hy Cương, Hợp Hải, Kinh Kệ, Sơn Dương, Sơn Vi, Thanh Đình, Thạch Sơn, Tiên Kiên, Tứ Xã, Xuân Huy, Xuân Lũng, Vĩnh Lại Communes and Lâm Thao Town.
- Thanh Ba District retains 17,566.09 hectares of natural area and 109,168 population; it includes 26 direct administrative units comprising Chí Tiên, Đại An, Đỗ Sơn, Đông Lĩnh, Đông Thành, Đỗ Xuyên, Đồng Xuân, Hanh Cù, Hoàng Cương, Khải Xuân, Lương Lỗ, Mạn Lạn, Năng Yên, Phương Lĩnh, Ninh Dân, Quảng Nạp, Sơn Cương, Thái Ninh, Thanh Hà, Thanh Vân, Thanh Xá, Võ Lao, Vũ Yển, Yển Khê, Yên Nội Communes and Thanh Ba Town.
- Thanh Hà Commune under Thanh Ba District retains 561.29 hectares of natural area and 3,779 population.
2. Establish Ca Đình Commune under Đoan Hùng District based on 1,417 hectares of natural area and 2,749 population of Tây Cốc Commune.
Administrative boundary of Ca Đình Commune: East borders Ngọc Quan and Yên Kiện Communes; West borders Phúc Lai Commune; South borders Hạ Hoà and Thanh Ba Districts; North borders Tây Cốc Commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ca Đình Commune, Tây Cốc Commune retains 1,534 hectares of natural area and 5,502 population.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phú Thọ Province, the Minister of Interior, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree. /.
