President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam
Pursuant to Decree No. 50-SL dated June 18, 1949 organizing the Ministry of National Defense;
Pursuant to Decrees No. 33 dated March 22, 1946 and No. 71 dated May 22, 1946 organizing and establishing rules for the National Army of Vietnam;
Considering the needs of military operations;
At the proposal of the Minister of National Defense concurrently serving as Chief Commander of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam;
In accordance with the resolution of the Government Council after consultation with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;
ISSUES THE DECREE:
Article 1. Depending on the needs of military operations, combat units will be concentrated into Fronts under the command of a Front Command Board.
Article 2. The Front Command Board shall consist of:
- One Political Commissioner;
- One Commander-in-Chief;
- One Deputy Commander.
Article 3. The Front Command Board shall be appointed by the Minister of National Defense concurrently serving as Chief Commander of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam.
Article 4. In case of disagreement among the members of the Board, the Political Commissioner has the final decision-making authority.
Article 5. The details for implementing this Decree shall be established by the Minister of National Defense concurrently serving as Chief Commander of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam.
Article 6. The Minister of National Defense concurrently serving as Chief Commander of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam shall implement this Decree.
