Decree No. 320/ND prescribing again the hourly teaching allowances and principal allowances for educational professionals

DECREE

REGULATING THE ADDITIONAL PAY FOR TEACHING HOURS AND PRINCIPAL ALLOWANCE FOR EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS

THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Pursuant to Decree No. 119/SL dated July 9, 1946 establishing the Ministry of Education;

Pursuant to Decree No. 114/ND dated April 19, 1952 restructuring the Ministry of Education;

Pursuant to Decree No. 76/SL dated May 20, 1950 promulgating the regulations on civil servants of Vietnam;

Pursuant to Decree No. 294/ND dated May 5, 1950 regulating the additional pay for teaching hours and principal allowance for education professionals;

Considering the necessity;

After the agreement of the Ministry of Finance (document No. 1657-TCNS dated September 16, 1952),

DECREE:

Article 1. - Now, the additional pay for teaching hours and principal allowance for education professionals are regulated as follows:

A. Additional Pay for Teaching Hours

- Secondary school teachers shall receive VND 400 per extra teaching hour.
- High school teachers - VND 600 ---
- Associate professors at university preparatory level - VND 800 ---
- University professors - VND 1,000 ---
- University lecturers and associate professors at university preparatory level shall receive VND 1,500 per extra teaching hour.

B. Principal Allowance

- Secondary school principals shall receive VND 3,000 per month --- high school principals - VND 5,000 ---
- University preparatory level principals - VND 7,000 ---
- University principals - VND 8,000 ---

Article 2. - Other professionals invited to teach at secondary schools, high schools, university preparatory levels, and universities shall also receive the additional pay for teaching hours as stipulated in Article 1 above.

Article 3. - Education professionals shall not teach more than eight extra hours per week.

Article 4. - The Ministry of Education will study the payment of additional pay for teaching hours and principal allowance for primary school teachers and primary school principals and will issue a decree later.

Article 5. - Late payments will be covered by a separate budget to compensate professors and teachers for their duties.

Article 6. - All provisions in Decree No. 294/ND dated May 5, 1950 that conflict with this decree are hereby abolished.

Article 7. - This decree takes effect from September 1, 1952.

Article 8. - The Heads of the Office of the Ministry of Education, Director of the General Department of Primary and Secondary Education, and Chairmen of the People's Committees of the Northern Provinces, Provinces 3, 4, 5, and Southern Provinces shall implement this decree accordingly./.
