Regarding the use of automobiles to serve work for scientists

PRIME MINISTER
CWHEREAS the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Based on Decree No. 14/1998/NĐ-CP dated March 6, 1998 of the Government on state asset management;
BASED ON Decision No. 122/1999/QĐ-TTg dated May 10, 1999 of the Prime Minister promulgating regulations on standards and quotas for automobile use in administrative and public service agencies and state-owned enterprises;
At the proposal of the Minister of Finance,
DECISION:
Article 1. Administrative and public service agencies, state-owned enterprises using automobiles equipped according to Decision No. 122/1999/QĐ-TTg dated May 10, 1999 of the Prime Minister shall use such vehicles to transport from residence to workplace daily and for official travel for professors recognized by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam who meet one of the following criteria:
1. Awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize by the State;
2. Honored with the title of Labor Hero; Heroic Forces Hero.
Article 2. For retired professors who still serve as principal investigators of national or ministry-level scientific projects, if they meet one of the criteria stipulated in Article 1, they also fall within the scope of application of this Decision. The managing agency of the scientific project is responsible for arranging automobiles to serve the work of these professors during the implementation of the project.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decision are hereby abolished.
Article 4. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, leaders of political organizations, political-social organizations, Chairpersons of provincial people's committees, municipal people's committees under central city administration, and state-owned enterprises are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
