Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Thạnh Xuân Commune and Tân Phú Thạnh Commune to establish Rạch Gòi Town and Cái Tắc Town under Châu Thành A District, Hậu Giang Province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hậu Giang Province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Thạnh Xuân Commune and Tân Phú Thạnh Commune to establish Rạch Gòi Town and Cái Tắc Town under Châu Thành A District, Hậu Giang Province as follows:

a) Establishing Rạch Gòi Town based on adjusting 977.84 hectares of natural area and 10,073 population from Thạnh Xuân Commune. Rạch Gòi Town has 977.84 hectares of natural area and 10,073 population. The administrative boundary of Rạch Gòi Town: East borders Thạnh Xuân Commune; West borders Một Ngàn Town and Tân Bình Commune, Phụng Hiệp District; South borders Thạnh Hòa Commune and Bình Thành Commune, Phụng Hiệp District; North borders Nhơn Nghĩa A Commune.

b) Establishing Cái Tắc Town based on adjusting 1,050.15 hectares of natural area and 11,140 population from Tân Phú Thạnh Commune. Cái Tắc Town has 1,050.15 hectares of natural area and 11,140 population. The administrative boundary of Cái Tắc Town: East borders Đông Phước Commune, Châu Thành District; West borders Tân Phú Thạnh Commune; South borders Long Thạnh Commune and Thạnh Hòa Commune, Phụng Hiệp District; North borders Đông Thạnh Commune, Châu Thành District. After adjusting the administrative boundaries: - Thạnh Xuân Commune retains 1,644.50 hectares of natural area and 12,010 population. - Tân Phú Thạnh Commune retains 1,564.68 hectares of natural area and 14,438 population. Châu Thành A District has 10 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Thạnh Xuân, Tân Phú Thạnh, Tân Thuận, Tân Hòa, Trường Long Tây, Trường Long A, Nhơn Nghĩa A and towns: Một Ngàn, Rạch Gòi, Cái Tắc.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hậu Giang Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
